WE ARE RECORDING A LIVE ALBUM AND DVD!!!! 

That’s right my people, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why are recording a Live album and dvd. This is the cool part…You can be apart of it by just buying a ticket and seeing the live show! We are calling it, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why - LIVE at The Saint!

So here is the deal; 3 shows of the coarse of 2 days @ THE SAINT in Asbury Park, NJ: 

MARCH 2nd (Friday) - 8:00pm 18+

MARCH 3rd (Saturday)- 3:00pm ALL AGES!

A big reason why we are putting on these shows is to raise money for two great organizations, SURFRIDER FOUNDATION and CLEAN OCEAN ACTION. All of the tickets sold for this show will be directly handed over to these great organizations. We will also being doing tons of raffles, in which you can win anything from a Spellbinders gift card, to a surf board, to a guitar. We want to do everything we can to help these guys out, so they can keep our Jersey waters clean, our beaches spotless, and wildlife preserved.

As you may or may not know, the band and I just recently got back from a long week in Vermont, where we did nothing but work on music for this live album. We were also filming our experience up there as a band. The DVD will be almost like a small documentary on The Reason Why and putting this show together but with a ton of live footage to really make it great. We are tighter then ever, and these are shows you definitely do not want to miss! 

You can be apart of a few shows that will last forever on a CD and a DVD. Not only that, but be apart of a great cause to raise money for some great organizations.

Hello to the people. How are you all doing today? I hope you guys are enjoying the holidays and are in the festive mood! December is my favorite time of year, not just because there is Christmas and New Years, but also my birthday :) … and more importantly being around my family. Everyone just seems to be in a better mood this time of year.  My family are not the type of people to make some kind of crazy light display on our house, in fact we don’t put up any lights! But…we are pretty dam proud of our Christmas tree, this year it’s looking dope. 

So this year, I actually will not be spending the holidays at home. By home, I mean in the States! This year I will be spending my Christmas and New Years in Sweden! I am so stoked! Of coarse I will miss my family, but it should be nice to have a white Christmas for once! I can’t wait, I know it is going to be one hell of a time. It will be nice to see some family and friends. Hopefully I will be back on the radio in Kalmar and do another live broadcast. Maybe even play an American Christmas song!

Looking back on this year, I start to remember a lot of good times, laughs, and adventures. I am glad to hold some of these fun, exciting, and just plain crazy memories. I am so grateful to have such loving and supporting people around me. I don’t think that I thank these people enough, and I really want to show them that I appreciate everything they do. So…as part of my New Years Resolution, I am going to recongnize and thank everyone more often for completing these acts of kindness. Now I just need to figure out the rest of my resolution! Check out this band Railbird! They are unbelievable! Jeff Mann (drums) showed me this song below (no one), for the first time a few months ago. I was blown away. This arrangement is incredible! Really cool what they did for the harmonies and melodies in this song. Especially starting at 2:01 , check it out! Another unique and awesome band surfacing in the Music world.

Hey ya’ll,

I’m writing this week’s blog from Barnard, Vermont. You might be asking yourself, “are you playing up there, some sort of festival, or tour?” Nope, I’m just chillin out and enjoying some good ol’ Vermont relaxing time. I come up here from time to time, to escape the headaches of society and enjoy mother nature at its finest.

Fall in Vermont is absolutely amazing. They call it Peak season. When all the leaves start to change, the mountains look absolutely gorgeous. It is amazing how nature can create such beauty with something so simple. I was lucky to get such nice weather while being here. Sunshine, that is warm but breezy and cool at night. Being up in the mountains with no distraction’s is awesome for a song writer. It gives me time to think, write, and be inspired by my surroundings. I am really stoked with the songs that I have been coming up with. I can’t wait to show you guys the finished products. I have also been putting a lot of thought into my clothing company, Lifted Apparel. While walking around Burlington, Vermont yesterday, I got some really cool ideas for some new t-shirts and styles. I am stoked to show you all.

Being up here also gets me really excited for the snowboard season. I am hoping it will be a cold and snowy winter. I want to build some jumps, boxes, and rails for a little snowboard park in my back yard. You can never shred to much! Vermont really is a great place to relax your mind and reconnect with yourself. I recommend everyone come up this way at least once in your life!

Hello to the people.  I have been listening to a lot of new music to get inspired for a whole new direction for song writing.  I wanted to share with you a band that has blown me away.  They go by the name of “Rubblebucket”.  They are amazing!

These guys are extremely experimental, but in a way that everyone can understand.  They bring a whole new dimension when it comes to song writing. Their melodies are strange and unlike anything I have ever heard, but so damn catchy, it amazes me! Their grooves are so funky and rhythmic. It is some serious head bopping music.  Rubblebucket has managed to take all of the machines and fake beats away, and still create a perfect dance party at every show.  They make a statement for sure.  And their live shows… absolutely amazing.  I  have never danced more, then at a Rubblebucket show, except for, maybe the other times that I have seen Rubblebucket….haha! I posted a video below of their latest single.  Check it out and download it!  These guys are blowing up fast!
