So here it is, the moment that the band and I have been waiting for. We have been holding back on telling anyone about this, but now we are proud to announce……

WE ARE RECORDING A LIVE ALBUM AND DVD!!!! 

That’s right my people, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why are recording a Live album and dvd. This is the cool part…You can be apart of it by just buying a ticket and seeing the live show! We are calling it, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why - LIVE at The Saint!

So here is the deal; 3 shows of the coarse of 2 days @ THE SAINT in Asbury Park, NJ: 

MARCH 2nd (Friday) - 8:00pm 18+

MARCH 3rd (Saturday)- 3:00pm ALL AGES!

MARCH 3rd (Saturday)- 8:00pm 18+

A big reason why we are putting on these shows is to raise money for two great organizations, SURFRIDER FOUNDATION and CLEAN OCEAN ACTION. All of the tickets sold for this show will be directly handed over to these great organizations. We will also being doing tons of raffles, in which you can win anything from a Spellbinders gift card, to a surf board, to a guitar. We want to do everything we can to help these guys out, so they can keep our Jersey waters clean, our beaches spotless, and wildlife preserved.

Remember, The Saint is a small venue, so it will be pretty full in there for each show. My suggestion would to buy your ticket in advance! We are planning to not have walk up tickets available if all goes as planned, so get your tickets now!!

As you may or may not know, the band and I just recently got back from a long week in Vermont, where we did nothing but work on music for this live album. We were also filming our experience up there as a band. The DVD will be almost like a small documentary on The Reason Why and putting this show together but with a ton of live footage to really make it great. We are tighter then ever, and these are shows you definitely do not want to miss! 

You can be apart of a few shows that will last forever on a CD and a DVD. Not only that, but be apart of a great cause to raise money for some great organizations.

Hello to the people. How are you all doing today? I hope you guys are enjoying the holidays and are in the festive mood! December is my favorite time of year, not just because there is Christmas and New Years, but also my birthday :) … and more importantly being around my family. Everyone just seems to be in a better mood this time of year.  My family are not the type of people to make some kind of crazy light display on our house, in fact we don’t put up any lights! But…we are pretty dam proud of our Christmas tree, this year it’s looking dope. 

So this year, I actually will not be spending the holidays at home. By home, I mean in the States! This year I will be spending my Christmas and New Years in Sweden! I am so stoked! Of coarse I will miss my family, but it should be nice to have a white Christmas for once! I can’t wait, I know it is going to be one hell of a time. It will be nice to see some family and friends. Hopefully I will be back on the radio in Kalmar and do another live broadcast. Maybe even play an American Christmas song!

Looking back on this year, I start to remember a lot of good times, laughs, and adventures. I am glad to hold some of these fun, exciting, and just plain crazy memories. I am so grateful to have such loving and supporting people around me. I don’t think that I thank these people enough, and I really want to show them that I appreciate everything they do. So…as part of my New Years Resolution, I am going to recongnize and thank everyone more often for completing these acts of kindness. Now I just need to figure out the rest of my resolution! Hey Ya’ll,

I am currently in Tampa, Florida. I just woke up to a beautiful sunny day. To bad I have to take a plane right home back to Jersey today. That’s ok though, I had an awesome time yesterday checking out different parts of Tampa. I actually had some weird stuff happen to me yesterday…

I had a gig last night at St Leo University. I needed some gear to play the show because I flew here and I was obviously not able to take mine on the plane. So, I found a place that rented out music equipment in Tampa, Florida. I called them up and order the gear. At first, I could not find the place, because all I saw were houses. Well it turns out…. The equipment was in one of those houses! I’m not against having a business at home by any means, but this place was creepy! Small dirty house, with a junkyard looking lawn, with old kid’s toys lying across the door entrance. I get inside, and there are just broken and old dusty pieces of equipment and wires. Sure enough, on top of all the crap, there was a pile of brand new gear waiting for me to be picked up. I loaded it up and left with no problems. It sure was a relief because I felt like I was about to be in a SAW movie!

That’s the thing with being a traveling musician…. You NEVER know what you’re going to get or whom you are going to meet. But that is the beauty of it and where the excitement lies, besides from actually playing the show itself. Thank you for listening and reading my blogs. Check out this band Railbird! They are unbelievable! Jeff Mann (drums) showed me this song below (no one), for the first time a few months ago. I was blown away. This arrangement is incredible! Really cool what they did for the harmonies and melodies in this song. Especially starting at 2:01 , check it out! Another unique and awesome band surfacing in the Music world.
