OK,
So I’ve been having this problem lately. It has to do with my guitar. Well, a part of the guitar that is added to produce vibration and sound. I’m talking about the strings, and how much I hate to change them. It doesn’t even take a long time, but it’s the action of thinking about maybe changing then. Why don’t I just change them when I have down time or before my next show? Maybe its because I am lazy, maybe its because I always step on the scrap pieces and hurt my feet, or maybe its just because I am just lazy. Yup, I am just lazy. Not with everything because I do work on music all day, but when it comes to changing strings, I really am.
You are supposed to change your strings at least every 2 weeks. Now, this is not just to make your guitar look better, it is because after 2 weeks it starts to sound like just metal slapping some wood. Not the best sound in the world. They start to get rusty and fill up with gunk! You can wipe your strings to save them a little longer but even after a little while its gunna start to sound like junk.
Changing strings takes maybe 10 min? Still thinking about changing them, even with a fresh pack in my bag, makes me all frustrated. They really need to invent super extra long lasting strings. Sure I have used elixir anti rust strings, but they don’t sound as good and they don’t last that much longer.
My guitar is lying next to me and is begging for me to change the strings. This time I will and not get frustrated, because if I don’t change them now, I might as well bang my head against a piece of hollow wood and it would sound better. That’s it for now! Thanks for listening to me rant!
