Airports and Cars

People that know me, know that half of the time I am a pretty mellow guy. The other half tends to be pretty energetic when it comes to playing live, surfing, skating, or snowboarding. Regardless of my normal personality, I rarely lose my cool. There are pretty much only two places that I tend blow steam from my ears, in my car and in an airport. Lets start with my car.

Ok, so I have come to the conclusion that everyone sucks at driving. Maybe I am the one that sucks at driving. The truth is, I really don’t know which it is. All I know is that I lose my cool on the road. Either a grandma is driving 40 in a 65 or Mr. badass is on my tail trying to go 60 in a 35. I mean come on!!! I think when you reach the age of 70 you should have to retake your driver’s test. Half of the elders out there forget how todrive! When they get to a certain age, some feel that it is ok to make up your own rules. Rules such as, making illegal u turns, left on red, and backing up in a tollbooth. Yes, I have seen it all in my latest travels.

I know I am young and have only been driving for a few years, but I always make sure to use my blinker. Every other new driver on the road thinks its ok just to drift wherever they please. That stuff is dangerous! Maybe I’m the grandma. I drive fast but I’m careful about it!

So now for the airports. I just want to scream thinking about them! Everyone who works there is slow and never can give you a straight answer. Do you ever notice how they pass you onto the next person to answer your questions? Errrrr!!! So guess what happened to me last week?

I had a show scheduled in Columbus, Ohio. I had to take a plane from Newark to Philly and from Philly to Columbus. The plane to Philly was delayed an hour and a half. Because it was delayed, I had to rebook my flight from Philly to Columbus. Once I arrived in Philly, the next flight was delayed by 2 hours. Once we were ready to board, they told me that they over sold the plane, and I was not able to make it to Columbus that night for my show. I was so pisseddddddddd!!!! They bumped me, they really bumped me! So I asked for a refund ticket. Then I had to take a train from the airport to center Philly. Then from center Philly to Trenton, NJ, and from Trenton back to Newark Airport to get my car and drive home. Man, flying really does suck.

Thank you for listening to my rambling nonsense. Remember to check out all updates on our tour schedule or what’s happening next with The Reason Why at QUINCYMUMFORD.COM.
